River Landing at Sandy Ridge

Stimmel has been a long-term partner in the expansion and enhancement of River Landing at Sandy Ridge, a premier continuing care retirement community. Over the past five years, Stimmel has led multiple site development projects that support the growing needs of the campus, including residential, healthcare, and recreational facilities.

Our work includes the site design for key projects such as the 22-unit Cottages, two Hybrid Homes with 36 independent living apartments, and the expansive Golf Course Clubhouse. The 27-acre expansion involved designing new streets, realigning The Links Drive, extending water and sewer mains, and creating stormwater management systems. Stimmel also rerouted existing utilities, modified golf holes, and developed pedestrian walkways, parking, and landscaping to enhance the overall campus experience.

In addition to residential development, Stimmel provided site improvements for major amenity expansions. The Wellness Center and Healthcare Center both underwent significant growth, with Stimmel designing new courtyards, pedestrian paths, utility relocations, parking areas, and drainage systems. We also prepared an Overall Group Development and Watershed Master Plan to ensure sustainable stormwater management across the campus.
