Carolina Colours

Stimmel is providing land planning, civil engineering, and landscape architectural services for ThriveMore’s exciting new development in the master-planned Carolina Colours Community in New Bern, NC. As ThriveMore expands its renowned life plan community model to Eastern North Carolina, this project represents a significant milestone in its 70-year history of senior living excellence.

Phase 1 of the development encompasses a 70-acre tract and includes site planning and special use site plan approval for 202 independent living units and 32 apartments, with future phases set to bring the total to 324 independent living apartments, along with skilled nursing, assisted living, and memory care facilities. Stimmel is designing essential infrastructure, including roadways, utilities, stormwater management, and amenities, to support the comprehensive needs of residents.

ThriveMore’s vision for Carolina Colours centers on fostering growth, independence, and connection for older adults through high-quality housing and care options. With 50,000+ square feet of common spaces and wellness programs, this community will be a vibrant addition to the region, offering a holistic living experience in a scenic golf course setting.
